Royal Delft reproduction of a 17th century tile. Meander decoration around the scene in accolade. It is a soldier in the costume of that time period. What is interesting about this tile is that it has a "mirrored" mark on the back. This happened as after the firing of one batch, they did not properly clean the surface so the mark from the previous piece is also on the back of this tile. Painted in Delft in 1915. Nice piece for a nice price.
